Archipelago International to Open A Grand Aston in Varadero, Cuba

Asia, July 2017 - Archipelago International, Asia’s fastest growing hotel management company, is delighted to announce that it will open its first hotel in Cuba in the last quarter of 2019. Grand Aston Varadero Resort will feature 438 rooms in Varadero, one of the largest resort areas in the Caribbean.

Varadero is Cuba's most popular tourist destination. Sprawling along the Peninsula de Hicacos, a finger of land off Cuba's north coast, this famous strip boasts a beautiful 20-kilometer beach with a drawbridge that connects the sun, sand and sea of Varadero to the colonial side of mainland Cuba.  

President & CEO of Archipelago International, John Flood, who has signed the partnership with Grupo de Turismo Gaviota SA, said “We are delighted to have been appointed by Gaviota to help develop and manage this exciting new 5-star hotel in the wonderful resort neighborhood of Varadero, which is only a one hour drive from Havana.
