Indonesia, August 2016 – Archipelago International and PT. Bintang Papua Hotelindo announced the groundbreaking of Papua’s fourth Archipelago International-branded hotel, the favehotel Sorong – Papua Barat on July 26th, 2016.

The favehotel Sorong – Papua Barat is conceptualized to support the development in Sorong by providing a new and imaginative select service hotel for smart business and leisure travelers who appreciate style, functionallity and good value. The future favehotel Sorong – Papua Barat will feature 75 pragmatical guestrooms which consists of 40 twin-bedded rooms and 35 double-bedded room. This hotel will be furnished with 2 meeting rooms and completed with a dining facility.

Sorong is Papua’s second-biggest city. It is a busy port and base for oil and logging operations in the region, and the gateway to Raja Ampat Islands. The hotel will be strategically located in the heart of the city and within a kilometer of Domine Eduard Osok Airport.
