Archipelago International Continues to Create Leaders in Digital Sales & Marketing

Indonesia, 20 March 2018 - Archipelago International, Indonesia's largest hotel management chain, recently gathered its Sales and Marketing leaders across Indonesia and Malaysia to attend the first 2018 Archipelago National Sales & Marketing Conference on March 12th to 15th.

Held at ASTON Pasteur Hotel and favehotel LTC Glodok, the four-day event covered orientation for new employees, unique negotiation sales techniques, varying digital marketing topics from the experts, one-on-one sessions with corporate regional sales & marketing functions, a media blitz in Bandung, advanced social media workshops, and a sales blitz in Jakarta, before closing with an awards ceremony to recognize Archipelago International’s exemplary hotels.

Beating the previous feedback ratings from its attendees compared to any other Sales & Marketing conference in company history, this year's conference has been deemed the most successful yet, with over 170 attendees representing Archipelago International hotels.

Archipelago’s Director of Marketing, Erika Anggreini said “The annual National Sales & Marketing Conference has got to be one of our favorite times of the year. It’s a time when we can bring together our leaders and provide them with in-depth knowledge of trending topics and other critical skills, ensuring a better understanding of their work to achieve their professional goals more effectively. In fact, we had so many additional requests to join - even from employees in other departments - that we had to create a waiting list. I think the word is getting out about our conferences, and the enthusiasm is contagious.”

“We put a lot of emphasis on training at all levels of the organization and offer hundreds of training courses annually for both hotel and corporate level employees. These courses are taught by certified trainers and professional experts within the industry,” replied Chairman, Charles Brookfield, when asked about the importance of continuous learning. “It also gives us a clear line of sight of where we have talents and where we have gaps that need our attention.”
